Welcome!

For two days in February of 2006, twenty-four remarkable scholars crossed departmental lines to convene in Columbia University's historic Low Rotunda for a lively discussion on mind, body, and human consciousness at Mind and Reality: a Multidisciplinary Symposium.

Bringing together participants from fields as diverse as neuroscience and Sanskrit literature, the event has been celebrated for both its popularity and its contribution to the larger dialogue, heralded by Columbia's President Lee Bollinger, between the Mind Sciences and Humanities.

In an effort to foster this new and exciting inter-disciplinary curriculum, Columbia's Center for the Study of Science and Religion, with generous support from the Fetzer Institute, has developed the proceedings into a unique and invaluable learning tool—the Mind & Reality e-Seminar.

The Mind & Reality e-Seminar is a free multi-media learning tool that is accessible via this website. Please take a moment to explore it using the navigation bar above.
