Discussion Board

One of the major stumbling blocks to any multidisciplinary event is communication (i.e. language). To facilitate greater understanding between participants and their respective fields of research, event organizers launched a private discussion board in the months leading up to the Symposium.

Utilizing new online discussion software, participants were able to log-on to a password-protected website that enabled them to share essays and, debate issues in real-time, as well as discover more about each others backgrounds.

Unfortunately we cannot publish those discussions here, but they were extremely lively and productive. Below you will find a few thumbnails of example screen shots.
